The Bokajan Town is situated in the of East Karbi Anglong District of Assam. It is situated 26.02°N latitude and 93.78°E longitude. It is a Partialy  hills area and the people mostly dwell near the forest to meet their daily needs. There is a main river mainly flows through the BMC area – Dhanshree River. The soil is mainly of sandy loam and clay loam soil type which is good for teak and lemon cultivation. Apart from these, rice and vegetable cultivation is good in this type of soil. The general geochemical characteristic of the soil is acidic. Bokajan is best known for its Cement Factory.

Climate (Rainfall, Temp and water patterns): The average rainfall of the district is 1103 mm. The temperature ranges from 10 degree to 24 degree in winter and 23 degree to 32 degree Celsius in summer.
